VESSEL

A vessel made to hold and store matches. I was inspired to make this piece by the heart of a chamomile and its texture. My goal was to replicate it with the use of matches and the way you could place them. I researched different ways of how matches are stored, found "matches in blocks" and then experimented with sizes and shapes of the holes in which I was going to put my matches. The pattern on the side of this vessel is the one I initially wanted to use as the holes in which I would put matches, but after experimenting with it came up with a more convenient version.
